For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Test Engineer (Financial applications, Mortgages, Azure Devops).

Your role
As an engineer, you work within an Agile team (squad). Together with your open-minded, highly motivated colleagues, you will work in two-week sprints. Within your team, chapter and outside your team, you give your opinion to other agile teams without being asked. Why? To share, disseminate and grow your knowledge.
Your daily work consists of:
• Functional/application maintenance of the mortgage application systems
• Development and maintenance of Topicus Force s automated regression tests. The tests are written with Java / BDD / Selenium.
• Functional testing of Stater – Estate application testing, common Stater functionality and specific functionality
• Software version testing and deployment.
• Supporting the users of the mortgage application systems.
• Build and maintain our MS deployment pipeline Azure DevOps

• Review and improve documentation
Your skills (Senior test experience)
• Functional knowledge of financial applications and mortgage products
• Functional knowledge of Force and Estate.
• Experience implementing financial software packages.
• Expert in test automation
• Experience Building Virtual Test (Virtualize)
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (at least Azure DevOps and Docker)
• Experience with the Agile / Scrum / Kanban way of working
• Good fluency in Dutch and English
Our stack
Our back-end APIs are created based on an internal Spring (Boot) based framework, Oracle / MSSQL and run on virtualized hardware (Linux / Wintel). On our Windows Server platform, we use limited third-party software. The regression (end-to-end) automated test suites are created with Java, Selenium, private cloud, and Docker. To meet the requirements of our regulators, our release processes can sometimes feel a bit bureaucratic. This means that you must be able to learn and understand these processes quickly, and that you have the ambition to improve and automate as much as possible.
Nice to Haves
• Basic (Linux/Windows) operations and automation skills
• Experience with building applications in a Java framework (e.g. Springboot)
• Advanced knowledge that can help us improve our CI/CD pipeline (e.g. using Azure DevOps and/or Docker)
• Experience with DevOps (production monitoring, Grafana, Kibana)
• Experience in a business environment
• Experience with security monitoring
