For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Tester (SQL, Legacy/ Modern System Landscapes Testing).
As a Senior Tester Data Migration within the Program, you will play a key role in supporting our clients strategic migration of its mortgage portfolio to the Stater platform. You will be part of the Data Migration & Cleansing workstream, which is responsible for ensuring that mortgage data is migrated accurately, completely, and in a controlled manner.
In this role, you will lead and coordinate testing activities related to large-scale data migration initiatives, ensuring the integrity, completeness, and usability of migrated data across legacy and modern systems. You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, project managers, and testing teams to identify risks, resolve defects, and support successful end-to-end migration outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, design, execute, and report on data migration test activities.
• Perform and coordinate complex migration testing, including:
o Validation of complex calculations and business rules.
o Document migration testing.
o Migration communication testing.
o Pipeline and freeze testing.
o Fallback and recovery testing.
• Coordinate the identification, analysis, and resolution of data migration defects.
• Support and co-coordinate end-to-end testing activities across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, IT business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze migration results and data quality outcomes.
• Document test results, findings, deviations, risks, and recommendations.
• Ensure testing activities support a controlled and auditable migration process.
Required Skills and Experience
• Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory).
• Strong experience in testing across both legacy and modern system landscapes (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (mandatory).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (mandatory).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities (mandatory).
• Proactive mindset with a high level of attention to detail, while maintaining focus on the overall objectives and broader program context (mandatory).
• Experience with data migration testing (preferred).
• Experience within the mortgage lending domain or mortgage systems testing (preferred).
