For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for Senior Fullstack Java Developer (Spring Boot, Maven, Azure DevOps, Kafka, Lit HTML/ Web components).
Our client is looking for a passionate software engineer with a solid software development experience and hands on mentality.
As a full stack software engineer, you work in an international environment in small teams. Together with business colleagues, UX designers, visual designers, product owners you build our next generation banking apps in the Payments tribe.

The department in Amsterdam is a modern and vibrant place for every techie. Software development is fully shifted-left, based on a new tech stack where containerized Java code is deployed with Azure DevOps towards our OpenShift powered cloud.
The In-Life management teams are in the lead of all life cycle management activities related to Debit & Creditcards. This means from the issuance of cards, to blocking, replacing, changing limits, requesting your pin etc.
Next to this, we are in the middle of migrating millions of legacy Debit/Credit cards to a new platform, while consilodating Debit and Credit microservices and frontends into a seamless, reusable, product agnostic solution.
Our tech solutions have reusability and scalability and resilience at its core. To such an extent that we will be reusing all our business journeys across multiple countries and currancies.
Huge focus is also placed on revamping our credit card offerings towards our customers with super cool stuff involving various subscription models.
On short- we have huge ambitions and our impact will be massive!
Java microservices are the technical backbone for end to end digital flows. We have a strong focus on performance testing and SRE. The code that we bring to PRD is well tested, automated regression testing is implemented, monitoring and alerting ensure that we are aware of the health of our systems at all times.

• You will join a team which is a global provider of Debit and Credit card services.
• You will work within a Full stack team which comprises multiple nationalities and skill levels.
• You can apply your strong knowledge and experience in designing, building and enhancing an application.

• The team is stream aligned and autonomous and responsible for designing, building and developing services which requires you to contribute on overall solutions, including liasing with our various consumers.

You have:
• Proven track record and proficiency in software development (6 + years): backend or front end (and thorough knowledge of the other, you are expected to be able to work on front- and backend). Our backend stack sounds like Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Azure DevOps, Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle. On the front-end side, we are into Lit HTML/ Web components, NPM. -focus on backend
• Experience and thorough understanding of (test) automation (with for example WireMock), continuous delivery, deployment tools and pipelines. We work with Azure DevOps, Helm, Kubernetes on OpenShift, Docker (Compose).
• We have embraced full shift-left approach to software development, so you are expected to refine, code, test and deploy your own work to immutable containers on our cloud environments.
• Lead development experience is a prerequisite. Have you lead the full end-to-end implementation of a software feature (from design to deployment)? Tell us about it!
• An itch and self-motivation for solving technical and functional challenges.
• Great reasoning skills and conceptual / architectural understanding, ability to quickly understand new technical concepts that are outside of your comfort zone.
• Strong interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology in general.
• We expect the ability to transfer knowledge back to the Bank by holding presentations, workshops, writing documentation and most important: setting new standards for the ways we do tech.
• Strong social and communication skills. Being a sparring partner for our business colleagues.
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams and iterative way of working is a pre.
• Fluent English speaking and writing
