The focus is on further maturing, developing and expanding state-of-the-art payment platforms and settlement services. The organization delivers payments and settlement services, meeting the expectations of multiple business lines and beyond, whilst ensuring the basics: safe, secure, compliant, and reliable.
The unit is responsible for providing standardized services across different domains, with a clear ambition to also look into external commercialization opportunities. The shift is towards a true services-based organization, structured around several service lines with squads enabled by clear prioritization, accountability, and capabilities.
Role: SRE Expert
As an SRE Expert, you will play a pivotal role in guiding teams toward achieving their Site Reliability Engineering objectives. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, balancing the priorities of individual tribes with those of the broader organization. This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder alignment, and strong collaboration skills in a distributed environment.

The team of expert leads has no hierarchical structure and reports directly to IT leadership. Each SRE Expert leads one or more tribes regarding SRE practices and implementations. You will also participate in global SRE Guilds and take responsibility for specific SRE capabilities.

Support and perform in-depth reviews and analysis of implementations regarding monitoring and alerting setups.

Provide knowledge sessions on SRE topics (e.g., SLI/SLO, resilience testing, DR plans, identifying toil).
Support root cause analysis and post-mortems, identifying improvement actions.
Use data analysis to identify structural improvements and advocate them within the organization.
Provide hands-on support for teams struggling with monitoring and alerting standards.
Contribute to the broader SRE organization and guild activities.

Extensive knowledge of Linux (RHEL) or Windows.

Familiarity with at least one programming language.
Knowledge of networking (IPv4/IPv6).
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana). Knowledge of open telemetry is a plus.
Understanding of SRE principles (SLI, SLO, error budgeting, availability reporting).
Strong problem-solving mentality and communication skills.
Knowledge of containers and cloud tooling.
Ability to mentor and coach other SRE Experts.
