For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a OPS Engineer (RHEL, Ansible, CI/CD)
Team
This vacancy is specifically for the Bookmakers squad within the cluster. The cluster takes care of transaction authorization and clearing and settlement. You will work as an OPS Engineer in a Scrum/DevOps team with 7 engineers. The Bookmakers squad builds and maintains the Clearing and Settlement system (CaSSys), that is used for preparing the booking of the transactions performed with debit cards.
The squad is responsible for all activities regarding the software delivery lifecycle. This is a business critical system, where reliability is extremely important. Therefore, we expect you to take responsibility within the squad on ensuring high availability ratings.
We want you to be a team player and take responsibility for realization of the work committed to in the sprint planning.
Stack and tooling
In our stack we use RedHat Linux, Windows server, Oracle DBaaS and lots of other technologies. Some of the supporting technologies are Private Cloud, Azure DevOps and Prometheus.
Although we would like that you have a working knowledge of everything we use, we find it important that we know you are flexible and keen on continuous learning.
Job Description
You take care of the daily operations and maintenance of the clearing and settlement (CaSSys) application
You support risk procedures and processes of our client
You configure and maintain application monitoring
You take care of the deployment of changes
You automate deployments with Azure pipelines as part of continuous delivery
You test the functionality of the application
Your profile
Technical skills
• You have strong knowledge of Linux server (RHEL) and Oracle is mandatory
• You have knowledge of Windows servers environment is a nice to have
• You have relevant experience in scripting (ie. Shell and Python)
• You have knowledge of Ansible
• You have experience in setting up a (Private) Cloud environment.
• You have knowledge of continuous delivery tooling, like Azure DevOps and Ansible.
• You have experience in setting up dashboards for monitoring and alerting.
