For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Data Engineer (PowerBI, Power Query, DAX, Azure, Python/Powershell)
Your role & work environment
As a Data Engineer, you contribute to accomplish the squad s mission. You design your solutions to fulfil business requirements by developing data pipeline and reports in a smart way. Developing your own expertise while gathering, updating, and spreading knowledge about developments and challenges regarding your field and embed lessons learned and best practices.
Your key responsibilities
This role requires strong knowledge and expertise in business intelligence, databases, and technical aspects of BI tools to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
Your responsibilities are:
• Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting.
• Analyze data in order to present it through actionable reports that will support in decision-making.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
• Using advanced SQL query language to support Dashboard development.
• Using CI/CD pipeline to implement the solution.
• Migrate to Azure and utilize PowerBI in Azure for data analysis and reporting.
• Follow Security & IT Risk journeys
• Supporting other squad members whenever needed with your experience and knowledge
• Communicating with the stakeholders to analyze and understand the need and design the solution accordingly.

Must have:
• Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
• You have at least 6+ years’ experience in IT projects following Agile methodology.
• Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of PowerBI, Power Query, DAX.
• Manage Azure components, including Key Vault, Gen2 Storage, and Azure AD
• Knowledge of programming language as Python or Powershell. Willingness to learn other programming language or tool, is necessary.
• Be able to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Awareness on Security & IT Risk aspects
Nice to have:
• Experience on CI/CD pipeline and relevant tools such as: Git, Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Understanding of data warehousing, data modelling techniques
• Experience a progressive and agile way of working, where new ideas are valued.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present/demo ideas and solutions
• Keen on documenting her/his work
• A team player who is self-motivated and eager to learn
• Good written and spoken knowledge of English.
