For our client in Utrecht, we are looking for a Business Architect.
Your responsibilities:
Take responsibility for the business architecture in area Engineering Journey of tribe Tech4Engineering. This area is responsible for delivering the “one central place” for all engineers in the bank, dubbed Nexa. Many products are in active development. To mention a few:
• Nexa Portal is a Backstage-based portal environment, combining and offering detailed information on squads and the applications they own, actionable insights on compliance and vulnerabilities, services that can be ordered, and much more.
• Priority for the area is co-creation, where we allow teams across the bank to contribute to both the Nexa Portal in a variety of ways while we remain in control of the platform, which requires that we organize ourselves to support that, both technically and operationally.
You will (functionally) lead the solution architecture team in the area. This team consists of 4 solution architects. Each architect is linked to one or more squads in the area to guide and oversee the work in these squads in line with the target architecture and area purpose. The solution architecture team needs your guidance to ensure they deliver the right things, at the right time, in the right way.
You will be part of the area triangle, where business (the area lead), tech (the tech leads) and architecture (you) together set and steer on realizing the vision for the area and the Engineering Journey for the bank as a whole.
Furthermore, you will be part of the Engineering business architecture team, consisting of 10 business architects working in this domain. The team is led by the lead business architect for Engineering, who is also acting as tribe architect for Tech4Engineering. You will report to him.
Requirements for the role:
• Master’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of work experience with at least 4 years of experience in the field of Architecture.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders across various teams.
• Conceptual thinking: a strong conceptual thinker, capable of translating high-level strategies into practical solutions.
• Fully proficient in English required; Dutch also preferred.
