For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Business Analyst (Payments & Cash Management, FI Payments, Cash Management Systems).
IT Business Analyst for Financial Institutions – Payments and Channels
As an IT Business Analyst specializing in Financial Institutions (FI), you will work closely with banks and financial service providers, focusing on FI products, payment processing, and account management, including nostro and loro accounts. You will be a key player in the cooperation between Enterprise and/or Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, DevOps Engineers, and other IT Business Analysts. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both business and IT are crucial in the gathering and translation of business requirements, conducting detailed analysis, and ensuring that solutions align with business goals. Additionally, your experience with non-bank payment service providers, as well as broker-dealers, will be invaluable in delivering tailored IT solutions. Post-implementation, you will provide ongoing support, guaranteeing the quality of our IT solutions.

You will be part of the department, where you collaborate with multiple teams spread across domains in India, the Philippines, Bulgaria and the Netherlands. We follow a Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to deliver better software faster. Roles and responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical requirements, ensuring seamless project execution and valuable outcomes.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and gather FI client needs, translating them into technical requirements aligned with organizational goals.
Facilitating common understanding among stakeholders (Enterprise and/or Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, DevOps Engineers, and other IT Business Analysts) regarding responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines with a strong MVP (Minimum Viable Product) mindset, specifically focusing on FI Payments and Cash Management products and solutions.
You apply your expertise in FI products, such as correspondent banking, clearing, treasury obligations, cross-border transactions and nostro/loro accounts.
Staying involved post-implementation to conduct integration testing, ensuring seamless component interaction and addressing interface issues.

What you bring:
Proven experience working with FIs, particularly in a capacity where you have served banks or non-bank payment service providers as customers.
Deep understanding of financial institutions:
Payments & Cash Management services in foreign currencies (via Correspondent Banking and Clearing) or in local currencies (via indirect participation and agency banking).
Treasury obligations (including correspondent trading and clearing).
EMI- or PI-license obligations (including client money accounts and split cross-border payments).
In-depth knowledge of FI payments and cash management systems:
Clearing commercial payments and treasury payments.
Treasury settlement solutions.
Indirect participation services.
Comprehensive payment and collection solutions.
Holder of a bachelor s or post-graduate degree, with experience in agile methodologies.
Collaborative and comfortable working across various teams, serving as a liaison when needed, and able to communicate effectively.
A problem solver with a make it happen mentality, eager to learn, coach others, and ask questions to develop holistic solutions.
