For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Android Developer (Kotlin, Espresso Tests, Unit tests, Screenshot Tests).

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer who will build features for customers within a global banking app. We are looking for an engineer with modern engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
The Team
The platform team is a global provider to other country organizations within the bank, with a single native app platform. The team is responsible for the development of the base app, global features and the capabilities for other teams to build and integrate local features. The goal is to offer the best-in-class digital experience to banking customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
A highly motivated engineer who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues.
Next to your work in the squad, you also like to contribute to the mastery of other engineers and improve the way of work within the organization.
You coach and support fellow engineers through knowledge sharing, feedback and technical guidance.
You have good analytical skills and conceptual understanding.
You can quickly understand new technical concepts and technologies and you have a strong interest in, and vision of, the latest trends in software development and technology.
You contribute to technical design decisions and help drive engineering excellence within the Android domain.
You actively participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high quality standards across the mobile platform.
You have experience with giving presentations and workshops, and in general have strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
In addition, it s in your nature to challenge existing concepts and ideas to develop faster or improve the customer experience.
You collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders across multiple countries to deliver scalable global solutions.
Your English in speaking and writing is fluent, and you are a team player who likes to join the social events of the squad and the organization.
How to Succeed
More than 5 years of professional experience in designing, building and maintaining Android applications.
You have extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin in production environments.
You believe that the easiest way to ensure software quality is by writing testable code and having proper tests via Espresso tests, Unit tests and Screenshot tests.
You appreciate the importance of security and accessibility and always build your applications with this in mind.
You not only develop the software, you also design it, test it, deploy it, monitor it and support it. You build it, you own it.
You take ownership of features throughout their complete lifecycle, from design and implementation to production support and continuous improvement.
You embrace engineering best practices such as automation, code quality, continuous improvement, testing and operational ownership.
You are a strong team player; you love to share knowledge and are interested in other people s work.
You are comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders.
As there are many teams (also in other countries), you need to be proactive and communicate and collaborate where needed.
