Voor onze eindklant de Rabo zijn wij op zoek naar een Operations Engineer Windows
The Operations Engineer (OE) is responsible for running of his / her application and for changing the applications within IT Systems. Besides the support activities, the Operations Engineer implements change requests based on his/her broad knowledge (T-shape). The Operations Engineer is capable of taking over the basic activities of other DevOps team members in case necessary (analysis, development and testing).
Risk and Finance Domain
The domain Risk & Finance is one of five domains within IT Systems. Risk & Finance takes care of the development & maintenance for all Risk Management, Finance and HR systems of the Group. Risk & Finance hereby contributes significantly to the realisation of the Regulatory Roadmap under BCBS 239 and thereby to safeguarding the bank’s licence per 1-1-2018.
The domain comprises 5 delivery clusters. The delivery clusters are integrally responsible for Development and Operations of all IT systems within Rabobank’s Risk & Finance domain.
These clusters are:
R&F Data WRR: The delivery cluster consists of activities to realise & maintain the Credit Risk Data warehouse, Liquidity Risk Data warehouse as well as the Global Financial Data warehouse.
R&F Data Group & LBB: The delivery cluster consists of activities to realise & maintain the Group Data warehouse, LBB Data warehouse as well as the realisation of the FIRE programme. R&F Functions: The delivery cluster consists of activities to realise & maintain global applications in the Credit Assessment, Capital Calculation (EC/RC), Internal as well as external reporting.
Business IT Services: This delivery cluster consists of activities to realise & maintain a large quantity of smaller systems supporting HR, Group Services, Business & Process Management, Procurement as well as Facility Management.
Detection & Forensic Incident Management (FIM) is responsible for the purpose of detecting unauthorized transactions.
The Operations Engineer is an active member of the DevOps team who works closely with other discipline/roles. He/she is a T-shaped professional and combines one or more technical specialties with the capability of taking over basic activities of other specialists on the team (analysis, development and testing). He/she has general knowledge of software development and knowledge about the business domain for which he/she works. Has an intrinsic drive to personal development in new specialties.
Flexibility, ownership and creating/using space forms a mindset that is necessary for this function.
The complexity of the job is in constant balance between running and changing. The Operations Engineer must convince people within the team of release deliverables and quality standards.
Knowledge of and experience with Agile, Lean and ITIL.
The Operations Engineer is able to work with the team and stakeholders to find the balance between smaller and larger deployments, while he/she will consider chain dependencies.
Knowledge and experience with specific tools and technology. Knowledge of and experience in the combination of business domain and related IT chains.
Controlled change – in accordance with quality standards and the required non-functional – of the applications using standard processes (change-, release management).
The Operations Engineer also carries out activities in the area of (test) environment coordination and life cycle management.
Continuous improvement is the basic mindset of the Operations Engineer, which is strongly focused on automating work in and around the team
The Operations Engineer, together with his/her DevOps team, makes an ambitious but realistic (sprint) planning. The Operations Engineer does, as a member of the DevOps team, its upmost to deliver on schedule, taking into account the interests of stakeholders around the team.
The Operations Engineer independently convinces the team and stakeholders on the deliverables to be delivered. Minimum necessities are; assessing risks and distinguishing the main issues from side issues.
The Operations Engineer is able to make an adequate trade-off at any time in the development process between the quality to be delivered, the proposed risk and the continuity of the (banking) processes. He/she ensures that backlog items that could prevent operational issues, are given the right priority by the product owner.
And the additional or specific requirements for Detection & FIM :
Knowledge of and interest in compliance themes like AML, Sanctions, Fraud, CDD, Market Abuse, Conflicts of Interest and processes and products of the payments- distribution- and finance area. High volume transactions, 24x7 support. Familiar with specific demands of the Compliance area (national and international) and acting with confidential information (insider statement is conditional).
Knowledge of and experience with SQL server (2014, 2016), SSIS, Windows server (2008-2016), scripting (powershell), scheduling experience (like taskmanager, SSIS, etc)
Scripting and programming skills, ambition in and experience with automation of (maintenance) processes (with XL Deploy, RIT, Jenkins, java)
